Change fields of a workflow transition?

Context

 

Workflow transitions are the buttons that a user can view on the top right side of a record. Workflow transitions define the way in which users can move a record from one status to the next. This also includes the data fields that can be accessed when these buttons are selected by the user. System Administrators have the access to add and update fields of a workflow transition.

 

Important Notes

  • You must be a System Administrator to update workflow transition fields.
  • They can mark fields as required or non-required for each workflow transition.
  • Some workflow transitions have permission restrictions. Users must be assigned the appropriate permissions to view those transition buttons.

 

How to change field of a workflow transition

 

To update fields of an existing workflow transition:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Workflow
  2. Select the workflow that contains the transition you want to update.
  3. From the list of transitions, click on the relevant transition and go to the “Field” and “Fields Required” section.



       4. Update the fields here and click on the save button.

       5. Once saved, a confirmation message will appear “Successfully Updated Transition”.
