New Releases

AI: Generative Form Suggestions(Opt-In)

When creating or editing a record, Clew's AI analyses the record title and context to suggest content for form fields — including text, lookups, and relational fields — calibrated to the record type. Users can review and accept suggestions rather than typing from scratch, reducing data entry time across risks, actions, incidents, and obligations.

Dynamic Workflow Forms

Workflows now support dynamic forms with rules, allowing workflows to be configured with rule-based forms. You can now modify workflow forms to support showing, hiding and making fields mandatory based on conditions within the form.

LawCompliance Integration(Opt-In)

Clew now supports an off-the-shelf integration with LawCompliance for regulatory obligation data, allowing regulatory content to flow directly into Clew without manual entry or CSV imports.

Support Audits in Form Schemas(Opt-In)

Audit create and edit forms now support dynamic form schemas, bringing audits in line with the rest of the platform's form experience.

Tagging(Opt-In)

Tagging is a new cross-module capability that allows generic tags to be added to records across any module. Tags can be used to filter across modules, enabling teams to group and slice the system by project, theme, or initiative without creating new custom fields or registers.

Workflows Admin Redesign

The workflows administration page has been rebuilt with a modern UI. Admins can now filter workflow transitions by custom type, and a new Kanban-style view makes it easier to visualise and manage complex workflows.

Custom Fields Admin Redesign

The custom fields administration page has been redesigned for improved usability and performance. Admins can now filter and sort fields more easily and make bulk updates without a full page reload.

Simple Risk Assessments(Opt-In)

Risk assessments now support a simplified mode for hazardous event management, using plain text fields rather than library references. This makes it easier to extend risk assessment input to a broader set of contributors.

Risk Assessment Amendments

Risk assessments now support a draft amendments mode, allowing users to work on changes without affecting the live operational risk assessment. The existing assessment remains active while updates are developed and reviewed in parallel.

Survey Response Pointers / Triggers

When a survey is completed against a linked record, the outcome can now automatically update a custom lookup field on that record. This removes the need for a separate manual workflow step to capture the survey result.

Survey Scoping to Specific Records(Opt-In)

Surveys can now be scoped to a manually-selected subset of records rather than being available to all records of a given type. The scoping relationship is preserved when a record is cloned, enabling targeted inspection campaigns or controlled survey rollouts.

Survey Results by Business Objectives

Surveys can now be linked to one or more business objectives, enabling dashboard widgets to filter and display survey results in the context of organisational goals.

Mass Edit for Libraries

Users can now mass edit records in control, cause, and consequence libraries, bulk updating fields across multiple records without opening each one individually.

Support Copies Sub-Panel on Alerts(Opt-In)

The alerts module now supports a Copies sub-panel which can be used for versioning or for tracking cloned items.

Ability to Copy Item After Workflow Transition(Opt-In)

When a workflow transition is executed, the record can be cloned on demand. This can be used for versioning, record recurrence, or automating recurring obligation cycles.

Enhanced Contributing Factors in Incident Investigations

Investigations now support multiple contributing factors recorded as individual line items, each with dedicated detail fields. Factors can be linked directly to failed controls within your system, replacing the previous single-entry dropdown approach. This delivers greater granularity in root cause analysis and enables more meaningful reporting across your incident data.

Link: Learnings to Standards(Opt-In)

A many-to-many relationship between Learnings and Standards is now supported. Learnings can be directly associated with any Standard, expanding visibility of learning outcomes and supporting reporting against specific standards frameworks.
