1. Introduction & Context
History Activities gives you a searchable audit trail of changes made to records in the Admin area of the Clew Platform, so you can see what was changed, when it happened, and who made the change.
This is useful for investigating unexpected changes, confirming that a configuration update was applied, or reviewing activity over a specific time period.
Who is this for? System administrators who need to audit or investigate changes to admin area records.
What does it impact? History Activities is read-only. Searching and viewing the audit trail does not change anything in the platform.

- Audit trail: View a record of changes applied to common admin area records, including what changed and when.
- Date range search: Filter the history by a specific date range to focus on a particular period of activity.
- User filter: Narrow results to changes made by a specific user to investigate individual activity.
- Event and Type filters: Refine results further by the type of event or category of record that was changed.
3. Requirements
- System administrator access is required to view History Activities via the Admin section.
4. Step-by-Step Guide
- Navigate to Admin > History Activities.
- Complete the search fields to filter the history. Use the table below for guidance on each field.

| Date Range | Required | Select the date range you want to search within. This field must be completed before results will load. |
| Modified by | Optional | Filter results to changes made by a specific user. Select the user from the list. |
| Event | Optional | Filter by the type of event, such as a record being created, updated, or deleted. |
| Type | Optional | Filter by the category of admin area record you want to review. |

5. Common Issues & Troubleshooting
| Issue | Likely Cause | Solution |
| Cannot access History Activities | The user does not have system administrator access | Confirm the user has system administrator permissions in the platform. |
| Results show "No items found" | No activity exists for the selected date range and filters, or the date range is too narrow | Widen the date range and remove optional filters one at a time to see if results appear. |
| Expected change is not appearing in the results | The change may not be covered by History Activities, or the wrong date range is selected | History Activities covers common admin area records only. Confirm the date range includes the time the change was made and try removing the Type and Event filters. |
Best practices:
- Start with a broad date range and use the optional filters to narrow results once you can see the data.
- Use the Modified by filter when investigating activity from a specific user, rather than browsing the full list manually.
